Either we have furniture with a French polish vernis au tampon shellac style or with a polyurethane polish.
Regarding the polyurethane varnish, we probably use the best polyurethane varnisher of Paris and his work and products are very fine and very appreciated by American Customers.
Since almost 20 years, we sell Art Deco furniture to Museums, Galleries, interior design trade and private clients.

Jules LELEU
Very rare set Sofa and two chairs 1947
Very Beautiful and unique set including a Sofa and 2 armchairs in claret rep handmade.
This set was especially built for The Banania Company's boss in France around 1947. M.Lespinasse, Manager of this company ordered this set to Jules LELEU directly.
The decor of the fabric was designed by Yvan Da Silva Bruhns and Embroised by Mrs Chabert-Dupond. The condition of this set is very nice and fresh. No dammage, no repair, no tear, no hole.
If you want to enlarge the photo of the sofa, please click on this LINK The fabric is the original one and we are very lucky to find it in this condition. The upholstery is very nice, Just stretch some straps within 3 years, but I can arrange this refinishing before shipping.
This set is really a piece for nice collector or museums. This set has been checked and approved by Mrs.Francoise Siriex, co-worker of Andre LELEU around 1945/1950. She said that this set was a private order around 1947 by M.Lespinasse.

The model of this chair is available in the database of www.docantic.com and they indicate that this model is illustrated in the Mobilier Decoration magazine of 1955.
